Her food evokes curiosity, which developed when she left into the Long Island suburbs and entered the culturally diverse landscape that is Los Angeles. Cavatellis and carnitas coexisting within the same menu is her belief. What remains, however, in all of her dishes is an unifying view of the future that longingly remembers the old. Scopa Italian Roots opened its doors in 2013 and was immediately popular. Lofaso has received praise for her interpretation of traditional Italian cuisine. The food at Lofaso is always delicious, welcoming and satisfying. Lofaso apprenticed under culinary legends and learned their sophisticated methods but she never hesitated to take extraordinary risks in order to follow her intuition. She worked closely with many famous people and quickly rose through the ranks at Wolfgang Puck's Spago. Lofaso joined forces along with Sal Aurora to create Black Market Liquor Bar which was a new bar in Studio City. With Black Market and the business partnerships she formed Lofaso found an appropriate new home. Lofaso would find the freedom to create the work she wanted through the collaboration. Black Market doesn't have one particular orientation. It's their goal. The first course could be chipped potatoes and peppers with dill, followed by Korean meatballs and wings. Antonia is the center of this dizzying assortment. Through her entire career, Lofaso has judged her accomplishment with her exceptional ability to comprehend her audience but still remain in line with her personal style. The memorable performances on Top Chef Chicago & Top Chef: All Stars highlighted her unique personality in the kitchen. Her talents are evident in her recurring roles as a judge on CNBC's Restaurant Startup judge and on the Food Network's Cutthroat Kitchen Man vs. Child and the ABC's Real O'neals. In 2012, Lofaso collaborated with Penguin for the release of"The Busy Mother's Cookbook 100 Cooking Ideas for Delicious homemade Meals and recounts the challenges she overcame when she was studying at the world-class French Culinary Institute, and while raising her daughter Xea.
