Catherine Ford is a British actress, born in Bloomsbury. When her father's divorce from the family members, she was raised up by her mother grandparents, and godparents. While she was a small girl, Catherine Ford struggled with obsessive-compulsive disorder. She also experienced anxiety because of the word association. Ford started to become interested in acting as a teenager and enrolled in the National Youth Theatre. The school she was accepted to was Sylvia Young Theatre School. However, after a short period of days, she realized that this school wasn't right for her. Ford decided to apply for the Central School of Speech and Drama, finally winning a place on her fourth application. Shaun Dingwall was one of Ford's fellow students. Shaun Dingwall went on to get recurring roles as Pete Tyler and Doctor Who. Ford could graduate in 1993. However, she already had her TV debut in the 1992 episode Surgical Spirit. She adopted the name Catherine Tate. Tate began her TV debut in 1991, appearing on television shows like The Bill. Men Behaving Badly. as well as London's Burning. Her regular work in theatre has led to her joining the Royal Shakespeare Company, for the 2000-2001 season. Tate's stand-up comedy and humour, which she added to her show in 1996, soon gained her admiration.
