
Sara Aliza Eisen is an American journalist on television who is currently affiliated with CNBC. She serves as the co-anchor on the show "Squawk On The Street" (Closing Bell) and 'Squawk in the Street' (CNBC). A native of Ohio native, she was not much attracted to the world of markets and currencies when she was in college. She worked at ForexTV.com while she was in school at New York University. This was where she gained the first glimpse of business news. Later, she earned a master's degree in broadcast journalism at Northwestern University's Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University. Following that, she completed an internship of four months at Bloomberg TV in Hong Kong. After returning to the US after which she started working at Bloomberg's office in New York. Later, she was promoted to anchor on television. In December 2013, she was hired by CNBC as a correspondent. After working as co-anchor on "Worldwide Exchange" as well as Power Lunch', she was hired by CNBC in December 2013. She was then offered the position in the year following Closing Bell in 2018. Eisen has been co-anchoring 'Squawk on the Street since 2014. Her main area of focus since her joining CNBC has been global news for consumers.
